Year 3 and 4: Phoenix Class

There is an exciting and stimulating learning environment in Phoenix class. The children greatly enjoy our topic based approach. It enables them to make links between different subjects and we proactively look for opportunities to develop and apply the core skills of literacy, numeracy and ICT across the curriculum.

HERE'S WHAT THE CHILDREN THINK...

The Romans

We had great fun investigating our Roman heritage.  In this project, we found out what it was like living in Roman Britain whether you were a Roman or a Celt.

One of the many highlights of our topic was going on a field walk with a local archaeologist and finding a piece of Roman pottery.

During the Autumn term, through our Carnival of Animals topic, we learnt many interesting facts. As you can see from this small selection of photos, we learnt about our skeletons, participated in our local cross country event and had a fabulous class trip to Flamingo Land Zoo.
