Maths Resources
Maths programmes of study follow the National Curriculum. All children are taught Maths skills directly and then apply these skills across a range of cross-curricular problems. A link to the National Curriculum is HERE.
Our chosen methods for the four operations - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are clearly defined in the calculation policy below. We ensure each child is secure with the chosen method for their year group in the autumn term and then apply these skills in reasoning and problem solving throughout the rest of the year. We practice daily in our UFO (Using Four Operations) sessions to ensure confidence and fluency.
